Black black forest’s all around
Black black grass disguises the ground.
Black black birds above are crying.
Black black soul of mine is dying.
Black black nails dig in dirt.
Black black pebbles scratch and hurt.
Pale-white body’s in the water –
That’s our rabbi’s eldest daughter
Drifting by the river’s bend:
Black-white tale with no end.
